Why Final Customer Documents Stay Stable
Learn why WizField preserves approved customer-facing output with immutable snapshots after estimate and invoice documents are finalized.
Final customer documents stay stable because WizField uses immutable snapshots where historical truth matters. Later language, preference, prompt, provider, or quality changes must not rewrite approved customer-facing output.
Preserve Historical Customer-Facing Truth
WizField already treats generated invoices, estimates, reports, warranties, and similar artifacts as historical records where snapshot accuracy matters.
Language Store inherits that rule. Once a quote or invoice reaches the snapshot-safe point, the chosen English customer-facing output becomes immutable document truth.
Reject Translation Only at Final PDF Generation
Language Store does not store only source text and translate only when a final PDF is generated. That model is rejected because it can create surprise output changes late in the workflow.
Final-PDF-only translation would also make historical output unstable and couple document rendering to live translation behavior.
Freeze the Reviewed English Output
Language Store uses a review pipeline before snapshot. A worker enters source text, WizField generates an English draft, the user reviews the output, and final approved English text is persisted.
The customer-facing snapshot stores the frozen English text that was chosen at approval time.
Avoid Rewriting Documents After Later Changes
Later changes to enabled languages, user preference, translation prompts, translation provider, or translation quality must not rewrite already-snapshotted customer documents.
Historical translated document output remains unchanged even if an organization later disables a language that a worker previously used.
