Shared Billing Account

Understand a Shared Billing Account as the WizField payer and subscription authority that can cover one or more organizations.

A Shared Billing Account is the payer and subscription authority for WizField platform billing. It may cover one or more organizations under one entitlement.

Define Shared Billing Account in WizField

WizField billing authority is shared-billing-account based. The billing_accounts layer is the authoritative payer and subscription layer.

Organization billing linkage projects coverage to organizations, but it is not the subscription authority itself.

Cover Multiple Organizations Under One Entitlement

A single Shared Billing Account may cover multiple organizations under one entitlement. Plan enforcement resolves from the active organization context through the linked Shared Billing Account.

This keeps platform billing separate from tenant CRM invoices and payment records.

Respect Current Business Coverage Limits

Current plan structure in local repo truth defines Starter as 1 business, Pro as up to 3 businesses, and Business as an expanded local model with no fixed hard cap currently enforced.

Do not treat the Business plan as having a fixed hard cap unless a future canonical product decision adds one.
