AI SMS drafts are Operator Copilot follow-up drafts for calls. WizField can generate a draft, let staff edit or dismiss it, and send it only through guarded human-confirmed messaging.

Generate a Copilot SMS Draft From Calls

Operator Copilot SMS drafts live on the /calls surface. Draft generation requires the AI foundation, Operator Copilot, calls surface, and SMS draft workflow flags to be enabled.

Draft generation can use an optional language-model path when enabled. If the language-model path is unavailable, WizField can fall back to template generation.

Keep Drafts Separate From Messaging Truth

WizField stores Copilot drafts in the operator draft lifecycle. Drafts can be active, dismissed, or sent.

Messaging execution truth remains in WizField messaging records. A sent Copilot draft links to the outbound message record, but the draft store does not replace messaging execution truth.

Review and Edit Before Sending

AI SMS drafts are reviewable product drafts. Staff can inspect and edit draft text before sending.

The draft flow is not an autonomous send workflow. AI output should be treated as a proposed customer message that a human confirms before the message leaves WizField.

Send Only Through Guarded Messaging

Guarded send requires calls.view and messaging.send. WizField sends Copilot customer SMS through the canonical messaging service rather than a telephony shortcut.

The Send affordance appears only when the guarded send path and user permissions allow it.

Observe Replies Without Mutating CRM Records

After a Copilot SMS is sent, outcome observation can read messaging thread replies after the outbound anchor message. This outcome is read-only.

Outcome observation does not mutate CRM records, trigger retries, start drip campaigns, or prove causal attribution.
