Active Organization

Understand the active organization as the current WizField business context used for workspace data, permissions, and product behavior.

The active organization is the current business context for an authenticated WizField user. WizField uses it to scope business records, permissions, and product behavior.

Define Active Organization in WizField

In WizField, an organization is the top-level tenant boundary for business data. The active organization is the organization currently selected in the authenticated session.

WizField does not treat an arbitrary frontend organization ID as the authority for tenant access.

Use Active Organization for Product Context

The active organization changes the user's context for dashboard, customers, leads, jobs, estimates, invoices, settings, search, calls, messaging, reports, booking, and portal-adjacent surfaces.

This keeps each business workspace separate even when one user can access more than one organization.

Validate Membership Before Access

Every tenant-owned request resolves the actor, active organization, membership, role, and permissions. Backend membership validation is authoritative.

Cross-organization access is forbidden for regular tenant users.

Continue With Organization Switching

For switching behavior, read How Organization Switching Works. For tenant isolation, read How WizField Keeps Business Data Organization-Scoped.
