Why Does Billing Success Still Show Processing?

Learn why WizField billing may still show processing after checkout and why Stripe webhooks are the subscription authority.

Billing success can still show processing because WizField does not activate billing from the checkout redirect alone. Stripe webhooks are authoritative for synchronizing subscription state.

Treat the Success Redirect as Confirmation of Return

The billing success page confirms that the user returned from checkout. The redirect does not prove that the subscription state has been fully reconciled in WizField.

WizField intentionally avoids treating the success page alone as activation proof because redirects can arrive before verified provider events are processed.

Wait for Stripe Webhook Synchronization

Stripe is the active billing provider for WizField. Verified Stripe webhook events reconcile local billing state.

Until WizField receives and validates the relevant subscription events, billing may appear to be processing.

Understand Owner Activation Scope

The engineering foundation for Stripe-first shared billing is complete. Live Stripe checkout execution and live webhook delivery remain owner activation scope.

This means production billing readiness depends on the live Stripe configuration and webhook confirmation, not only on the completed code path.
